POP Carolling and Christmas Party

The congregation is invited to go carolling in the Village on Saturday, December 17th at 4:00 pm. Everyone is invited to come along and love our neighbours by singing praises to the One who is the true meaning of Christmas! Feel free to bring your friends and family along too for a fun night of singing and fellowship! Last year we had a blast and the residents really appreciated it.

We will meet at 4 pm in the School Chapel prior to going out. This will give us a chance to organize ourselves, distribute the baking trays, and hand out songbooks if you need them. We have rented the space so that after we are done carolling we can come back and have some time for hot chocolate, goodies, and fellowship - and to warm up!

We also hope to give a tray of holiday baking to each of the residents we carol to again this year, so we are asking members of the congregation to bake some trays of goodies for us to take along. Trays are available at church for you to grab, or feel free to make your own. Take however many you want and bake whatever you want! Even if you are not able to go carolling, but want to bake, you are still welcome to take a tray (and just contact Beka Rekken to organize how to get your tray to the carollers on Saturday)!

Finally, if you are unable to bake or come carolling, you can still participate by either coming and staying at the school for the fellowship time afterwards (we also could use someone to volunteer to make hot chocolate and coffee/tea for everyone), or by praying that the Word sung might be heard, take seed, and perhaps even bring people to our congregation! For more information, feel free to talk to Beka Rekken at church or call her at 587-228-5288.

*** If the weather is too cold, this event may be cancelled or moved - any changes will be announced on the POP Church Facebook page.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Christmas carolling party! We enjoyed a great time of singing, goodies, and games!
