For the past several years the Lord has blessed Barb, Joshua and myself with being a part of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and School family. To be called to lead God’s people in this place is an honour and privilege. Daily there are plethora of opportunities to share the love of Jesus with those in our congregation and in our school as well as on the rest of the Campus that the congregation had envisioned and begun, at the Manor (Seniors Residence), the Village (+55 Housing) and now at the Harbour (Dementia Care Residence).

As a stubble jumper from Saskatchewan (yet bleeding green and white every CFL season) I came to Edmonton to study at LCC’s (Lutheran Church Canada’s) lone University, CUCA (Concordia University College of Alberta) completing a Bachelor of Education Degree at the UofA (University of Alberta) all so that I might enter the Holy Ministry by studying and receiving a Masters of Divinity degree at LCC’s CLS (Concordia Lutheran Seminary) also in Edmonton.

In the middle of my seminary training the Lord blessed me with a faithful helpmate, Barbara (nee Lehman) who has assisted me abundantly in my calling to Shepherd God’s people. We have had opportunity to serve the Lord and His people for three years at St. James/Trinity Lutheran Churches, Whitecourt and Rochfort Bridge AB. We then served as Missionaries for LCC in Ukraine for over five  years before returning to Canada to serve at Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond BC for over eight years.

There is much joy in serving the Prince of Peace family, the greatest of which is encouraging all who have received faith in the loving cross work of our Saviour Jesus to see the incredible purpose that we have together in being used of the Lord to reach those who yet do not know their Saviour.
